1820 1C SMALL DATE MS63 BN OGH PCGS GOLD CAC - The 1820 Large Cent Small Date graded MS63 Brown by PCGS in an Old Green Holder and further distinguished by a CAC Gold sticker is a highly impressive early copper survivor that combines strong technical merit with exceptional originality. Both obverse and reverse present rich, even chocolate-brown surfaces layered over subtle olive and mahogany undertones, with faint bluish-gray iridescence visible at the peripheries under angled light. As the sole example recognized at CAC Gold with none finer, this OGH specimen stands at the pinnacle of quality for the assigned grade and represents a superior representative of the 1820 Small Date issue. One CAC record is seen in MS64 for $16,450, with a Price Guide of $7,000 at MS64 and MS65 at $9,000. We see this as a MS65 quality and possibly the finest for the issue.
Note PCGS number on the holder was prior to Small Date And Large Date designation, so it should be #91615.
