1943-S 10C MS68 FB PCGS CAC - Struck at the San Francisco Mint during the height of World War II, the 1943-S Mercury Dime reflects a period when U.S. coinage was still heavily relied upon for wartime commerce while other denominations faced metal substitutions and shortages. A superb near perfect example, this 1943-S 10C even under strong magnification, the surfaces reveal virtually no imperfections of any size anywhere, an extraordinary level of preservation even for a Superb Gem. The obverse displays powerful, radiant luster that beams across the fields and devices, illuminating a boldly struck portrait of Liberty with crisp hair detail and a fully defined winged cap. Splashes of completely original color are scattered across the surfaces in delicate shades of pale forest green, champagne gold, and soft blue, creating a vibrant yet balanced appearance that enhances the overall presentation. Luster flows evenly across both sides and the surfaces appear impeccably preserved, giving the coin remarkable brilliance and visual harmony. Full Bands examples of this caliber are rarely encountered, and the eye appeal of the present piece is truly exceptional. This fully struck and pristine Superb Gem stands among the elite survivors of the issue, and with CAC approval these are certainly not common as such only 5 examples are CAC with none finer. CAC 68 FB have sold for $5,581-$16,000 depending on the eye appeal and toning; however, in the last decade there has been only 3 CAC sale $9,000 11/23 HA, $9,106 11/23 LE ( THIS EXACT COIN), and $16,800 05/22 HA. Safe to say there has been no CAC sale since then for 3 years. Note there is 1 68+ but that is NOT CAC. Pedigree $9,106 11/23 LGND • PCGS POP - 30/1 • CAC POP - 5/0 www.ParadimeCoins.com
