Anhwei. Kuang-hsü Dollar Year 24 (1898) MS65 NGC, Anking mint, KM-Y45.5, Kann-53, L&M-203. Large rosette variety. Another enigmatic issue of Anhwei, whose numismatic products are fervently pursued and rarely located at the Gem preservation for any issue. A real treat to have handled this many quality issues in a single auction, with the present specimen no exception. An appealing champagne aura amplifies the aesthetic caliber of the piece, enlivening the low-lying expanses to reveal nary a mark of concern, confirming NGC's superior conditional assessment.
