Fengtien. Kuang-hsü 50 Cents Year 25 (1899) AU58 PCGS, Fengtien mint, KM-Y86, L&M-480, Kann-249, WS-0594. Among the more difficult 50 Cent issues across the entire provincial series, and certainly among all denominations of Fengtien manufacture. Only five examples have witnessed market appearance in recent decades, each example technically lesser or impaired than the present specimen. Exceedingly little actual wear is visible across the designs, with an eye appeal tempered by a gentle, silty haze that appears consistent with the handful of survivors.
