Continental Currency November 29, 1775 $8 PMG Choice About Unc 58. A total of $3,000,000 in Continental Currency was originally authorized by the Act of November 29, 1775, with an additional $10,000 subsequently added to exchange for worn notes. The face features an emblem depicting a harp with thirteen strings of differing lengths representing the thirteen colonies with the motto MAJORA MINORIBUS CONSONANT (The large colonies and the small colonies are in harmony). The note is boldly printed on bright paper with sharp design elements and eight excellent well-matched margins. The signatures of Joseph Watkins, Jr. and Nicholas Garrison are dark and boldly penned.
