Maryland April 10, 1774 $4 PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ. This $4 was part of a $480,000 emission authorized in 1773. A later act made these issues either exchangeable into new notes at a ratio of 40:1 or invalid after March 20, 1781. Printed by Anne Catherine Green and her son Frederick Green, the note features the Maryland coat of arms on the face and a nature print on the back with the usual signatures of John Clapham and William Eddis.
