New York August 13, 1776 $3 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. The back of this note features an unusual vignette of the Ten Commandments on two tablets with a sword placed across them diagonally. The motto LEX REGIT ARMA TUENTUR (The law regulates weapons are protected) is an interesting pairing with the vignette. The note has clear design elements on decent paper with good margins and legible signatures of L. Thiersted and Robert King. PMG mentions minor stains which are not overly distracting.
