Rhode Island May 1786 1s PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. Three different acts in the Spring and Summer of 1786 authorized £100,000 in legal tender Bills of Credit. Over 96% of the issue was retired and burned by the state between 1793 and 1803. The face features the Rhode Island coat of arms. This example is printed on bright paper with oversize margins that fully frame the note which has darkly inked, sharp design details.
