South Carolina February 8, 1779 $70 PMG Extremely Fine 40. Newman prices this $70 Coram note at $2,000 in XF. The back design, engraved by Thomas Coram of Charleston, bears a detailed vignette illustrating the myth of Prometheus, chained to a rock, having his liver perpetually devoured by an eagle.
