At the time of cataloging, only three examples are recorded in higher grades in the PMG Population Report. The note offered here marks only the second time Heritage Auctions has offered this variety at auction. The bright ink and intricate engraving remain clear despite the age of the note. Designed for the Teheran branch, this Specimen has 'CANCELLED' perforations, red 'SPECIMEN' overprints, and a Farsi perforation along with staple holes.
