Palestine Palestine Currency Board 10 Pounds 7.9.1939 Pick 9c PMG Very Fine 25. This series is always popular with collectors. Its long run, from 1927 to 1945, reflects the continued demand for paper money during a period shaped by World War II. In the year this note was issued, war had broken out in Europe, with huge global economic effects extending to the European overseas territories and the demand for currency. These notes were produced throughout the war, with the Palestine Currency Board increasing circulation fourfold. This strong blue design with yellow-green accents features the Crusader's Tower at Ramleh on the front and the Citadel of Jerusalem, or 'Tower of David,' on the back, consistent with the series. Minor repairs and rust are mentioned on the holder. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
