China Board of Revenue 1 Tael 1856 (Yr. 6) Pick A9d S/M#H176-30 PMG Very Fine 30. Initial denomination of the Tael series that was issued in the 1850s and 1860s. This variety, denominated in Taels, is scarcer than the similar Cash series issued simultaneously. A spindle hole at issue and a great amount of manuscript writing are mentioned for accuracy, although both are to be expected.
