Netherlands Indies Javasche Bank 300 Gulden 30.4.1901 Pick 58bs Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. An important and very rare denomination from the Jan Pieterszoon Coen series that was issued in the late 19th century and early 20th centuries. The high denominations of 100, 200, 300, 500, and 1000 Gulden feature this stunning design, and are all virtually unseen in any format. This denomination is especially scarce, with PMG grading no issued banknotes and only six Specimen at the time of writing. PMG mentions toned paper and corner pinholes which seem to be expected for the type. Only the third we have offered, which is half of the PMG graded population, presently. Make note that this example was originally printed as an issued banknote before being transformed into a Specimen. It is complete with signatures, serial numbers, and a date, as well as the security code stamp on the back. From The Peh Family Collection HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
