Very popular first year of the Seated Dime series, issued without stars on the obverse. The obverse was quickly replaced in 1838 with stars. A low mintage of only 682,500 leaves a population of one at this grade with only three finer. Lovely peach, lilac, and teal surfaces swirl with bold luster. Incredible details are evident on the devices as luster flows freely across every inch. A few die cracks on the lower obverse add interest. A very appealing plus-grade premium gem!
