Dealer:  (Terms) David Lawrence Rare Coins (72)
Popular first-year of the Liberty head design. In fact, the head type is different from the slight changes made after 1840, adding to its desirability. Satiny, warm golden-toned surfaces are boldly detailed and have been wonderfully preserved. Bright lister circles the coin and enriches the fantastic eye appeal. PCGS pop 1 in this grade with only three finer, all in MS64, while NGC reports seven more in MS64. These numbers may be slightly exaggerated by crackouts and upgrades over the years, making this a probably Top Ten example.
