Deep mirrored fields are accented by rich chocolate-brown patina, iridescent steel-blue toning, and traces of faded mint red that remain visible across portions of the surfaces. Sharply struck and remarkably well preserved, this 1833 Proof half cent displays exceptional eye appeal and strong originality. One of the great rarities of the series, with only about 30 examples believed known, this PR64 Brown specimen is an outstanding survivor of this elusive early proof issue.
