1878-CC $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. CAC. VAM-9. Silver devices contrast sharply with deeply mirrored surfaces. Abrasions are minimal. The year 1878 was the inaugural year of issue for the Morgan dollar. Unlike the Philadelphia issues of the year, all Carson City coins exhibit the Reverse of 1878, which has a parallel top arrow feather, and have 7 Tail Feathers. Just 1.1% of PCGS certifications of the 1878-CC achieved the Deep Mirror Prooflike designation, placing the present offering in the upper echelons of the issue.
