1879-CC $1 Capped Die, VAM-3, AU50 PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. Large over small CC, doubled date. VAM-3 comes from the popular and collectible 1879-CC issue of 756,000 Morgan dollars. The mostly brilliant surfaces of this AU50 are layered in hues of almond-gold, with soft lavender accents on the edges. Remnants of creamy-gray luster show on the devices, enough to generate a cartwheel effect that is quite pleasing.
