1873 5C Open 3, Repunched Date, FS-1304, MS65 NGC. Cherrypickers' provides perhaps the best description of this unusual and difficult to see variety: "A secondary 7 is evident between the primary 73. A secondary 3 is evident far to the south but within the opening of the primary 3." This Gem example displays satiny ivory-silver luster and impressive strike sharpness, with the usual die cracks around the outer edge of the wreath.
