1883/2 5C Shield FS-302 XF45 PCGS. This is the terminal die state of the FS-302 overdate obverse die. The date crack has become a complete retained cud that dissects the date from the rest of the obverse. The crack through the left side of the wreath is heavier and now has a branch to connect to IN. Additional cracks connect portions of IN GOD WE TRUST to the dentils above. The coin is smooth stone-gray and well detailed for the XF level.
