1883/2 5C Shield FS-304 XF40 ANACS. The faint nature of the overdate feature on FS-304 coins means even light wear can make it almost impossible to see the overdate itself. Such is the case with this piece, though several other diagnostics such as a tiny lump on the left edge of the left shield vertical confirm the FS-304 dies. On the reverse, numerous peripheral cracks also match those on other FS-304 examples. This piece is lightly circulated with stone-gray patina and pleasing eye appeal.
