(Montgomery), TX- Legal Summons Jan. 29, 1829 PCGS Banknote About Unc 50. It appears that the defendant as outlined on this 1839 summons was one of the "Old Three Hundred." This refers to the original 300 settlers who were part of Stephen F. Austin's original Texas colonization effort in 1821-24. Daniel Raper, the plaintiff, was another early landowner in Montgomery County, but the nature of the legal action, possibly a land dispute, has not been ascertained. PCGS Banknote mentions toned paper and period annotations. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
