(Milledgeville), GA- State of Georgia $500 Feb. 1, 1862 Cr. 61A Bond Very Good-Fine. This example with serial number 3333 is of the variety that lists the printer, though the imprint of "R.H. Howell, Savannah, Ga." is lightly printed immediately below the office of "Secretary of State." A loading dock vignette is at left and an artillery vignette is at right. Twenty-nine bond coupons remain. Penned on the back in blue ink is, "John W. Benton Jr. Oct. 21, 1921." Mr. Benton must have tried to redeem this bond on that date.
