(Kansas City), MO- Kansas City, Clay County and St. Joesph Railway Gold Bond Certificate $1,000 Sep. 1, 1911 Very Fine. The Kansas City, Clay County and St. Joseph Railway was an electric railway that ran from downtown Kansas City, Missouri, to St. Joseph, Missouri, from the 1910s to 1933. Printed by the Hamilton Bank Note Co., this certificate has a vignette of the electric train below the title in black ink with a very small vignette of an eagle at the very top of the document in orange ink. There are 23 coupons still attached to the bond. The last coupon was reattached with a large piece of tape which left a light stain on the paper below it.
