Rio de la Plata 8 Reales 1826 RA-P AU58 NGC, La Rioja mint, KM20, CJ-28. 6 laurel pairs variety. An awe-inspiring 8 Reales rarity from Argentina, distinguished both by its near-Mint State preservation and much scarcer 6 laurel pair variety. Struck slightly off center, yet bursting with comely pastels and warm shades of taupe, the 1826 emission marks the start an almost decade-long run of this classic sunface type.
