BACTRIA. Early Hellenistic era. Sophytes (ca. mid-3rd century BC). AR didrachm (20mm, 8.03 gm, 6h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 5/5. Imitating Athens, local weight standard. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves over brow plate and palmette on bowl; HAEP monogram behind / ATE, owl standing right, head facing; prow of galley right above grape bunch and leaf in left field.
