1856-S G$1 Type Two AU58 NGC. This piece displays brilliant yellow coloration with some minor splashes of orange toning. The strike is as expected with softness along the central devices, but the details within the headdress and the wreath are strong. There are some minor marks within the obverse fields and a small grove left of the large 1 numeral. The 1856-S issue is exceptionally scarce in Mint State with just 33 coins reported at NGC and is still conditionally scarce at AU58 (7/26). HID06601242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
