1857-C G$1 -- Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU. Winter-1. Deep tawny-gold envelops this example with scattered hairlines present throughout, as expected from a cleaned piece. The strike is as expected for the Charlotte Mint's first year working with the new design seen with some weakness around the legends, as often the 1857-C was seen with subpar strike quality and poor planchets.
