1885 G$1 Centered Date, JD-1, R.4, PR66 Cameo NGC. The 1885 was the second largest mintage of gold dollar proofs with 1,105 coins and around less than a third are estimated to survive in all grades, roughly 300 coins. This piece shows attractive tawny-gold luster on the devices with some minor but non-intrusive marks in the fields that do not inhibit its appeal.
