D.N. Morgan Courtesy Autograph Fr. 1313SP 50¢ First Issue Wide Margin Pair Specimens. Face PMG About Uncirculated 55; Back PMG Uncirculated 62. Both of these Specimens were the two examples in lot 867 of Part XIX of the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection. Ford had purchased them from the Boyd estate. Just below the top edge on both examples is the autograph of "D.N. Morgan Treas. of US 1893-1897." The Face Specimen is a little larger than the Back Specimen. The Face has four cutting guides showing with three of the cutting guides being complete and the Back has two complete cutting guides.
