Fr. 96 $10 1869 Legal Tender PCGS Banknote Gem Unc 66 PPQ. Blessed with vibrant blue anti-counterfeiting fiber, green tint, and red serial number and Treasury Seal colors, broad but even margins, and brilliant white, entirely original paper surfaces, this high grade, near-Superb Gem Uncirculated representative presents itself as a truly stunning representative of the type. As both the PMG and PCGS Banknote Population Reports communicate, this piece is a conditional rarity for its type. At PMG, just seven examples have achieved the PMG 66 EPQ level, with just three certified finer (at the 67 EPQ level). PCGS Banknote offers similar figures, as its population report records that it has encapsulated six Gem Unc 66 PPQ notes, including this note, with none better. This wonderfully preserved piece was last offered by us in May 2024 for $16,800. From The Christensen Family Collection HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
