Fr. 96 $10 1869 Legal Tender PCGS Gem New 65PPQ. Rainbow Jackass $10s are always in demand among large size type note collectors, especially at lofty grade levels such as seen on this wonderful piece. Broad but balanced margins and face to back registration accompany natural paper wave on our current offering. The bold red, large scalloped Treasury Seal on the face accompanies vivid blue cotton fiber and green tint colors. On the back, rich green inks supplement the blue silk fiber end. We have not auctioned a representative of this number at the Gem level since October 2025, when a PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ certified piece brought $13,200.
