Fr. 96 $10 1869 Legal Tender PCGS Banknote Choice Unc 64 PPQ. An absolutely stunning representative of the Rainbow Jackass type, this handsome piece features beautifully complementary blue anti-counterfeiting fibers, green tint, and red large scalloped Treasury Seal and serial number colors which accentuate ample margins and entirely original, fresh paper surfaces. This incredible piece is one of just four encapsulated by PCGS Banknote at this level, and just eight have achieved higher grades. The PMG Population Report offers similar figures regarding this example's grade rarity, as notes which have achieved the 64 EPQ grade are in the top 15% of pieces encapsulated by the firm. The slightly uneven right and left margins are all that precludes this charming piece from the Gem level. In October 2025, a PMG 64 EPQ certified representative brought $10,200. That figure could very well be reached again tonight. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
