Fr. 114 $10 1901 Legal Tender PMG Choice About Unc 58. A bright representative of the first Friedberg number for 1901 $10 Legals, this example displays the Lyons-Roberts signature combination on the face, along with portraits of famous expeditioners Lewis and Clark at left and right and an imposing bison at center. The red serial numbers and Treasury Seal both retain embossing which is easily observed on the back of the note, and balanced margins are also a highlight. According to the PMG Population Report, the firm has encapsulated just six representatives at this grade level, including this lightly circulated piece. Examples of this number graded above the Choice VF level are not publicly offered often, and the final hammer price for this note should reflect that.
