1869 1C PR66 Red NGC. Snow-PR1. This example is among the roughly 5% of Snow-PR1 reverses that are rotated 180 degrees. The 1869 cent is among the lower-mintage proof issues for the design, with a distribution of just 600 coins, of which just 29 non-Cameo Red examples have been observed at NGC (8/26). Brilliant copper-red luster envelops this piece, with moderate reflectivity in the fields, and the surfaces are without any perceptible marks. Strong strike definition further enhances the appeal of this specimen. NGC Census: 4 in 66, 0 finer (8/26). From The West Texas Collection. HID06601242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
