1861 1C MS67 NGC. Soft caramel-brown luster envelops this piece, with only a small silver spot just below the ribbon’s end on the reverse. The strike is strong, with good detail throughout, and the surfaces are free from any distracting marks. While the 1861 date is largely available in higher Mint State grades, the issue is rare at MS67, with only one example observed finer at NGC (8/26). From The West Texas Collection.
