1885 Liberty V Nickel 5C PCGS PR 65 PQ Strong Cameo Look Gen 3.0 OGH Exceptional 1885 Liberty Head “V” Nickel graded PCGS PR 65 and housed in an early Gen 3.0 Old Green Holder. This is a very strong PQ example for the grade with remarkably clean surfaces, deeply reflective proof fields and pronounced frosted-device contrast that gives the coin a distinct Cameo appearance on both sides. We see very little in the way of distracting marks, and the overall eye appeal is outstanding for PR65. The coin was certified in an era when Cameo designations were not routinely applied the way they are today, so the original label simply reads PR65. A beautiful early-holder proof that looks considerably better than the average example at the assigned grade.
