British North Borneo British North Borneo Company 25 Cents 24.1.1903 Pick 7a PMG Very Fine 20. British North Borneo currency was issued and circulated for only 50 years, and the denomination and design offered here were the first produced for the region following the establishment of the British protectorate. This is the second variety of the design, with a printed Accountant's signature at left and a handwritten Treasurer's signature at right. Not only does this banknote represent one of the scarce varieties for the issue, but is also in a very desirable grade. At time of cataloging, just two examples are recorded in higher grades in the PMG Population Report, with none recorded above Very Fine 30. Rust damage is mentioned on the holder.
