Ceylon POW Camps / Anglo-Boer War, Ragama 5 Rupees ND (1899-02) Pick UNL POW4836 PMG Very Fine 20. The Ragama POW Camp series of notes issued in 1901 and 1902 featured denominations from 10 Cents to 5 Rupees, with this offering being that of the crowning denomination in the series. Notice the small, two-digit serial number present on this famed wartime rarity. This example is matted to vintage cardstock on the back. Minor splits and a rusty clip mark on the backing, which does not affect the note, are mentioned for accuracy. Very rare and part of a complete set offered in this auction.
