Falkland Islands Government of the Falkland Islands 10 Shillings 19.5.1938 Pick 4 PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ. The lowest denomination of the new series introduced in 1938, this 10 Shillings maintains the design of the preceding issue, but moves the royal portrait to the left, introducing King George VI, who ascended the throne in 1936 following the abdication of Edward VIII. Tied for the finest graded of more than fifty examples recorded in the PMG Population Report at time of cataloging, this is an exceptional example for the type. Its desirability is further enhanced by an Exceptional Paper Quality designation. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
