France Banque de France 25 Francs 1.12.1870 Pick 56b PMG Very Fine 25. Hailing from a scarce two-denomination series, this 1870-issued banknote is more than a century and a half old. Considering its age and circulation, the condition of the example offered here is impressive. Pinholes, splits, and stains are mentioned on the holder, but these do not interfere with the note's strong eye appeal of this note. At time of cataloging, only four examples of this variety are recorded in total in the PMG Population Report, underscoring its scarcity. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
