France Banque de France 100 Francs 1888 Pick 63c PMG Very Fine 25. This gently colored banknote is the higher of a two-denomination series, featuring the seated allegorical figures of Navigation and Agriculture on the front. The back displays a composition by Paul Baudry in which Wisdom steadies Fortune. A highly rare note, only five examples of this variety are recorded in the PMG Population Report at time of cataloging. Pinholes and edge damage are mentioned on the holder, but these to not hinder the note's strong eye appeal. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
