T5 $100 1861 PF-1 Cr. 5 PMG Choice Very Fine 35. This was one of the first two types created by the New Orleans branch of the ABNCo under the banner of the Southern Bank Note Company, a trade name used first in the 1840s. The small branch was not equipped or staffed to produce large quantities of new designs and deliveries dragged on for months, with first notes not being issued until the end of August 1861. This attractive note, which just shows minor evidence of a previous mounting on the back, sports bold ink colors and dark signatures. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
