T12 $5 1861 PF-1 Cr. 48 PMG Choice Fine 15. Printed by Jules Manouvrier, a small New Orleans lithographer, only 15,556 notes were issued before the Treasury Department canceled Manouvrier's contract due to shipping negligence that led to the forced withdrawal of a companion $10 design, never seen since. This note has even circulation and is nicely framed with decent color on the back. PMG mentions a minor restoration, primarily small sealed edge and internal tears/splits.
