Government Agent Endorsement "W.T. Goodwin Dep(uty) Coll(ector)" (Savannah) T39 $100 1862 PF-5 State II Cr. 291 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. W(illiam) T. Goodwin, whose endorsement appears on the back of this near-Gem T39, largely remains shrouded in mystery due to lack of records, but we do know that he was appointed Deputy Collector at Savannah, GA. The attractive note in this lot, printed on entirely original paper surfaces, features two black IP stamps from Savannah, GA, recording interest payments on January 1 of 1863 and 1864.
