T39 $100 1862 PF-18 Cr. UNL PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. The note in this lot represents an interesting variety, with a slanted portion of the "For Register" signature line at lower left which cuts into the printer's imprint. In Pierre Fricke's 2014 reference, the author stated that at the time of the book's publication, the PF-18 variety was a newer discovery with just six to ten representatives known (R12 rarity). Of those, just a "couple" were Uncirculated or better. We have not auctioned an identified example of this variety prior to now. This note contains three IP stamps, one from Knoxville, TN, and two from Augusta, GA, on its back. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
