T64 $500 1864 PF-2 Cr. 489 PMG Very Fine 25. A light pink underprint graces the face of this moderately circulated, high denomination T64. One of just two types emitted by the Confederacy of the $500 denomination (with the other being the T2), this $500 was meant for circulation and did not bear interest. High denomination notes grew in importance during the later years of the war due to rampant inflation. PMG comments on several rust stains. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
