T64 $500 1864 PF-2 Cr. 489 PMG Very Fine 25. Reintroduced late in the war due to accelerating inflation, the $500 offered a patriotic theme with a portrait of the revered Stonewall Jackson at right and the Great Seal of the Confederacy and the second (1863-65) national flag known as the Stainless Banner at left. While the note has seen time in circulation, it still exhibits good color. PMG mentions minor rust damage (a tiny rust hole at bearer in the center text).
