1HoDLCLUB gilt silver Proof Loaded (Unredeemed) "Silk Road" 0.0021 Bitcoin (BTC) ND (2023) PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, Ahonen Unlisted. Mintage: 100. 20gm. Serial #80. Firstbits: 1SiLKxMr. A sought-after and highly evocative square .999 fine silver ingot commemorating the Silk Road marketplace, one of Bitcoin's earliest and most consequential real-world use cases. The issue was strictly limited to 100 silver examples, ensuring enduring appeal among collectors of modern physical cryptocurrency. Operating from 2011 to 2013, Silk Road was an anonymous online marketplace accessible through the Tor network that accepted Bitcoin as its exclusive medium of exchange. While the platform became infamous for facilitating the illicit trade of narcotics and other contraband, it also demonstrated Bitcoin's viability as a decentralized digital payment system on an unprecedented scale. Its eventual seizure by U.S. authorities and the arrest of founder Ross Ulbricht marked one of the defining chapters in Bitcoin's early history. Following more than eleven years in prison after his 2015 conviction, Ulbricht was granted a full and unconditional presidential pardon in January 2025, adding a final chapter to one of Bitcoin's most consequential early narratives.
