Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1814 So-FJ MS63 NGC, Santiago mint, KM80, Cal-1407. Waves of brilliance ripple across the surfaces upon inspection of this Choice Mint State offering. Expressively toned surfaces reveal striking weakness typical to these issues, notably to the details of the laureate head of Ferdinand, but ultimately does little to detract from the visual character. The eye appeal is undeniable, and as a specimen bested by just a single MS64, it should garner significant interest from bidders. Ex. Heritage Auction 3010 (August 2010, Lot 20558) From the Val y Mexia Collection HID07901242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
